COMPENSATION $32.00- $42.00 based on years of experience in like position.

JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and project support for Regional leadership and staff.
  
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide administrative support for the Associate Area Superintendent and Regional Staff to include copier projects (including PowerPoint preparation), mail handling, researching topics, supplies control and necessary communications internally and externally
  • Analyze and create reports based on PowerSchool and Edusoft
  • Coordinate the administrative aspects of internal and external student testing
  • Creating electronic copies of educational materials
  • Assist the above in the management of schedules and handle calls from both internal and external sources
  • Summarize, communicate and track all incoming family complaints, follow through to a satisfactory compromise with all parties involved.  
  • Coordinate Aspire-wide educational activities
  • Organize logistics of Regional educational activities
  • Support other Aspire team members as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual-Spanish language speaking and writing
  • Ability to learn new software

 

  1. Minimum educational level:
  • Two years college or equivalent work experience

 

  1. Experience required:
  • 3+years in administrative support position in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Power School or comparable database system
  • School or school district office experience preferred
  • Proficiency with additional database systems preferred (e.g., Filemaker Pro, Access, etc.)

 

  1. Physical requirements:
  • Stand, walk or bend over, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, and pull. Move, lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds to shoulder height
  • Repetitive use of hands (i.e. fine manipulation, simple grasping, and power grasping)
  • Demonstrate normal depth perception
  • Sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, operate standard office equipment, and use a telephone
  • See and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids
  • Distinguish colors
  • Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone with or without auditory aides
  • Read and understand rules and policies, labels, and instructions.
  • Transport supplies, set up and clean up for regional PD meetings 

 

  1. Work authorization requirements: 
  • Clear the Department of Justice background screening
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Provide health (TB) clearance  (most update every four years)

The work environment characteristics are representative of those in a normal office, classroom/school setting which one might encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Aspire Public Schools has implemented a Remote Work policy, limiting on-site office availability.  Therefore, employees must have the ability to work remotely regularly.  This position may also require periodic travel to school sites in order to interact with school leaders.

  • Work is performed in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Exposure to dust, oils, and cleaning chemicals
  • Some exposure to childhood and other diseases in a school environment
