JOB SUMMARY
The Business Information Technology Pathways Manager leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive high school career pathway program that prepares students for success in postsecondary education and careers in business and information technology. This role is responsible for aligning curriculum with Career & Technical Education (CTE) standards, coordinating dual enrollment opportunities with college partners, and integrating academic, technical, and employability skills. The manager supports student success by overseeing academic progress, coordinating support services, and maintaining consistent communication with parents and guardians. In collaboration with teachers, counselors, and industry partners, the role facilitates work-based learning experiences, promotes industry certifications, and ensures students are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving workforce.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Oversee the Business Information Technology career pathway in alignment with Career & Technical Education (CTE) standards, and college readiness benchmarks
  • Collaborate with Regional Career Pathways specialist to coordinate sequenced college and career readiness workshops  that integrates academic, technical, and employability skills for high school students
  • Facilitate and manage dual enrollment courses in partnership with counselors and advisors to ensure students have the support needed to successfully pass their college courses
  • Coordinate comprehensive student support services, including academic advising, tutoring referrals, and intervention strategies to promote student success and pathway completion
  • Monitor student progress, attendance, and performance data; implement targeted supports for at-risk students
  • Maintain consistent and proactive communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, academic expectations, and postsecondary opportunities
  • Collaborate with student recruitment efforts, pathway promotion, and outreach activities within the school and community
  • In collaboration with the Regional Career Pathways specialist, manage and support with  internships, job shadowing, and career exploration opportunities in the business information technology industry sector
  • Support student preparation for industry-recognized certifications and postsecondary education or career entry
  • Collaborate with Regional PSS Team in leading student recruitment efforts, pathway promotion, and outreach activities within the school and community
  • Work with school counselors and administrators to ensure schools and scholars take full advantage of opportunities including those offered by various community colleges and other community based organizations.
  • Collaborate with instructors, administrators, and stakeholders to improve program quality
  • Stay current on trends in IT, business practices, and workforce development

 

Additional:
  • Work in collaboration with Principal and Regional Office to achieve site and organizational goals 
  • Perform other related duties as related and assigned including but not limited to student supervision, small group student advising, etc. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to Aspire Public Schools’ mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Competencies:
  • Demonstrated commitment to students and learning 
  • Knowledge of early college programming and guided college pathways preferable (or interest in learning) 
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and interact effectively with different audiences 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Maintain accurate records  

 

Education Level:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

 

Minimum Experience: 
  • 3–5+ years of experience in program management, workforce development, education, or IT-related fields
  • Strong understanding of business operations and information technology concepts
  • Experience working in a school setting or classroom setting preferred
  • Demonstrated successful experience navigating business tech pathways preferred

Compensation: Based on years of experience in a like role the salary range is between $87,000 - $107,000.

Work authorization requirements: 
  • Clear the Department of Justice background screening
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Provide health (TB) clearance
