Administrative Analyst

American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking an Administrative Analyst to join our department. This position will support the Credentialing Manager, Supervisors, and Credentialing Examiners in their efforts to complete the initial credentialing/re-credentialing process.


  • Reviews and prepares incoming re-credentialing applications and documentation. 
  • Assist with assigning new credentialing /re-credentialing applications to credentialing examiners per department guidelines.
  • Run daily reports to report individual and department inventory levels to the Leads and Management team.
  • Review and maintain inventory spreadsheets to identify trends/errors and report to Management team regularly.
  • Assist with Administrative review.
  • Process cancelation/termination requests for Providers/practitioners that have either requested to cancel their application or for being non-compliant with the ASH credentialing process.
  • Notify affected departments of these cancelations to eliminate unnecessary work and data can be reported to the necessary channels.
  • Send official cancelation letters for providers that have been canceled.
  • Reinstate canceled providers/practitioners that have been compiled with the request for additional information or documentation prior to the final appeal date.
  • Performs Quality Assurance.
  • Responsible for the department email account (PCA ASSIST).
  • Assist Senior Admin Analyst with the walk in agenda for the weekly PRC meetings.
  • Update department page on internal webpage, The FLASH. Update information, upload documents and spreadsheets.
  • Assist the management team with as needed projects that pertains to credential examiners in closing files.
  • Performs quality assurance check to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Communicates and works cooperatively with Clinical Quality Administration (CQA) and Supervisor, Practitioner Contract Administration regarding issues, questions and/or problems related to the agendas.
  • Assist with welcome letters to comply with standards.
  • Reviews all letters with Supervisor on a quarterly basis.
  • Updates PROMIS’ Practitioner Communication Screen and monitors PCT accordingly.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all practitioner files, practitioner documents, records, reports and related data.
  • Assists in performing Administrative Review on credentialing files, as needed.
  • Processes Practitioner Status Change Requests for participating practitioners.
  • Prepares and distributes team meeting minutes.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all practitioner files, practitioner documents, records, reports and related data.
  •  Credentials ASH Campaign Applications.
  • Creates campaign reports and manage production and send to management team.
  • Enters and tracks data through internal databases to complete each portion of the credentialing process within predetermined timelines.  Review and process credentialing files when necessary to close for campaigns.


  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum two years progressive experience providing administrative support.
  • Minimum 10,000 key stroke per hour. 
  • Proficient in MS Office, including experience with Excel and Access.

Primarily sedentary, able to sit for long periods of time. 

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects.  Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard.  Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Environmental Conditions

Usual office setting.
