American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Client Events Specialist to join our Marketing team. Events and conferences are a core part of our award-winning marketing team’s offering. This position is part of our Sales Support team coordinating compelling and engaging in-person and virtual sales events. Creates strategic plans, coordinates all logistics, whether onsite or virtual, and travels to support onsite events as needed. This includes supporting health plan clients with social events for their members by identifying and implementing up to 12 different social events per year. Also includes conference support, and other company events as needed. Responsibilities may include securing venues, managing contracts, managing food & beverage details, and working with creative team as needed. This position will also do post-event surveys that help determine event success and develop insights and plans to help iterate on event success.

This position will also partner closely with Corporate Events and VP Marketing to provide backup on event support across ASH as needed.

Remote Worker Considerations:

Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained virtually and must have the capability to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment.   • Provides support for meetings and events.
  • Supports all aspects of planning and logistics for client events - both onsite and virtual - including stakeholder communications, venue research, invitations and other mailings, RSVPs, giveaways, signage, on-site support as needed, waiver scanning, and event wrap up. Ability to travel to support onsite events as needed.
  • Virtual events may include emcee support such as facilitating live Q&A with co-host(s) and participants.
  • Supports other client or Fitness events as needed in partnership with manager and sales support team.
  • Collaborates with the relevant partners in Human Resources, Management, Administrative, Creative, Facilities and IT as needed, to ensure event plans are aligned and communicated.
  • May manage rooming lists for key events, as assigned by manager, maintaining a current view of uptake, and communicating with internal travelers and management.
  • For assigned events, coordinates the food and beverage, audio visual, communications and other logistics as needed, for marketing department functions.
  • Support manager, Corporate Events, and VP Marketing where needed, in maintaining an up-to-date corporate events calendar and ensures all changes are posted immediately.
  • Provides additional support to department as directed by marketing managers.
  • Provide monitoring support and commentary during live classes premiering on social media channels, including a Saturday rotation schedule as needed.
  • Provide reporting on social media live fitness classes including number of views, organic comments, and relevant information regarding the classes.
  • Partners with Corporate Events team and VP Marketing to provide backup on event support across ASH as needed.
  • Proofreads event communications to ensure accuracy.
  • Manages the linen inventory.


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, management, business administration, or equivalent work experience. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in marketing, event planning and management, or project management - health care industry a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate internally with all levels within the organization (executives to line staff) and externally (with vendors, staff, and consultants).
  • Ability to develop and execute event plans across a category, such as corporate or client events and work with management, executives, and across departments to establish event master schedules
  • Ability to work independently to adhere to established event plan schedules for assigned projects, including working occasional long and unpredictable hours in order to support unique event schedules.
  • Ability to create and manage spreadsheets. MS Word mail merge skills a plus.

Primarily sedentary, able to sit for long periods of time.

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects. Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Ability to travel within the facility and to other offsite locations; ability to drive and travel by air as needed. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Salary Range

American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity.  $62,400 to $67,700 Full-Time Annual Salary
