We are looking for:    
We’ve been expanding fast and our group has a real start-up feel to it, which means there is a lot of opportunity on a daily basis to learn and innovate. We launched a digital asset management system and cloud edit & content creation pipeline earlier this year and now that we are settling into our production environment, we have an opportunity to help the organization out and join as  a cloud support engineer. This is a primarily remote position for someone on the West Coast. Some travel might be required to Los Angeles or Seattle. 
Job Responsibilities:    
  • Support digital asset management, production and post production teams 
  • Contribute to new AI based workflows as we further develop and design technical pipeline
  • Meet with business, technical and creative stakeholders, innovating, and contributing to the big picture ideas of an expanding organization 
  • Resolve security risks, update systems, and support the backend of cloud deployment
  • Stay informed about current industry advancements and trends
  • Present proposed improvements to key stakeholders along with implementation plans
  • Be able to recommend solutions in real-time as problems arise 
  • Anticipate roadblocks and other process issues and resolve proactively
  • Maintain organized records to track known issues and document solutions
    Qualifications & Experience:   
  • Experience in software development, or experience in technical support
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Familiarity with support in AWS Console
  • Experience with supporting DAM/ MAMs, remote edit workflows in the cloud using tools such as Lucid Link, EC2
  • Knowledge of video codecs, wrappers, formats, and color spaces
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere and After Effects
  • Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
  • Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of internet protocols and cloud architecture nomenclature
  • Experience creating and updating IAM in AWS console
  • Experience creating and deploying new AMIs in AWS console
  • Some transcoding experience with MediaConvert nice to have but not required
  • Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation range for this position $135,000 - $145,000
