We are Looking for:
Thriving in a fast-paced environment, the Remote Technical Production Lead is an excellent problem-solver who exhibits extraordinary attention to detail. The Remote Technical Production Lead will oversee the smooth operation of all talent and tech in regards to remote productions. This is a fully on-site position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works with TD/director and engineering team to onboard/manage the flow of remote guests.
- Works directly with remote talent and guests, greeting them, ensuring they are prepared, and providing them with the tools and guidance needed for production.
- Assisting control room with technical program manager duties as needed.
- Works directly with producer team, talent, and talent teams.
- Creates/owns documentation on all technical SOPs, ensuring they are kept up to date.
- Manages tech tests with talent to ensure there are no issues, troubleshooting any problems that arise (i.e. remoting into talent’s streaming devices, investigating production tools, etc.).
- Tracks production issues for streams daily; works with production and engineering teams to improve processes and explore long-term solutions to common issues.
- Creates and presents daily control room briefing one-sheets for TD/director and crew to understand all details for each remote guest of the day.
- Manages and schedules closed captions for all productions.
- Retrieves and delivers critical data to production crew via internal tools as-needed.
- Oversees trafficking of content, making decisions on content placement
- Operates independently in a directorial way by setting up shots and identifying optimal camera movements
- Adjusts scene aesthetics as they see fit
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience.
- Proficient in OBS software.
- Broadcast production understanding.
- Advanced experience in audio/video functionality and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated strength in communication and collaboration across large groups.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation range for this position $25-$45/hour.
