The Senior Production Resource Manager (UK) serves as the regional lead for production resource operations within ASG’s Managed Services organization. This role is responsible for overseeing local production staffing strategy, operational execution, and talent deployment across studio, broadcast, live event, and virtual production environments in the UK.
The Senior Production Resource Manager will manage and optimize production resources across embedded, flex, and project-based engagements while acting as a key client-facing partner supporting regional projects and operational delivery. This individual will bring extensive experience managing large-scale production operations, scheduling complex teams, and maintaining a strong network of UK-based production talent.
This role collaborates closely with Account Management, Recruiting, Finance, and global Managed Services leadership to ensure operational excellence, workforce scalability, and high-quality client outcomes.
Production Resource Management & Operations
- Lead all production resource planning and deployment across UK-based engagements, including studio, broadcast, live events, and virtual production.
- Oversee scheduling, booking, and allocation of production personnel, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with project requirements.
- Serve as the regional subject matter expert for production talent availability and capacity planning.
- Manage and optimize staffing across embedded, flex, and project-based delivery models.
- Maintain accurate resource tracking systems, schedules, and workforce data.
- Shape and improve resource management tools, workflows, and operational processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Client & Project Support
- Act as a client-facing operational partner supporting local projects, production planning, and staffing recommendations.
- Participate in client meetings to understand program needs, forecast staffing requirements, and ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to support client growth, retention, and operational success.
- Provide escalation support and problem-solving during production challenges.
Talent Network & Workforce Development
- Maintain and grow an extensive network of UK-based production professionals across studio, broadcast, and live production disciplines.
- Partner with recruiting teams to source, onboard, and deploy new talent aligned with client needs.
- Support performance management, coaching, and development of assigned team members and contractors.
- Identify workforce gaps and proactively build talent pipelines for future needs.
Financial & Reporting Responsibilities
- Monitor utilization, staffing costs, and workforce efficiency across regional engagements.
- Support forecasting of hiring and freelance needs based on project pipelines.
- Track hours, expenses, and workforce data in partnership with Finance and Account Management.
- Contribute to executive-level reporting, including metrics, presentations, and operational summaries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Account Management, Finance, HR, Recruiting, and IT leadership.
- Support development of documentation, templates, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with global Managed Services leadership to align regional operations with company standards and best practices.
- 10+ years of experience working in production operations, studio production, broadcast, or related environments
- Significant experience managing large-scale production teams and complex scheduling environments
- Proven experience in resource management, workforce planning, or production operations leadership
- Strong client-facing experience within enterprise, agency, broadcast, or corporate production environments
- Extensive professional network within the UK production industry
- Advanced understanding of production workflows and operational processes
- Hands-on experience with resource scheduling and workforce management tools
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience supporting enterprise or technology clients
- Agency or managed services experience
- Experience working across global or multi-regional teams
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or workforce management platforms
