Associate Regulatory Analyst
Description
Ascent Resources is seeking an Associate Regulatory Technician or Analyst. This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK and will report to the Supervisor of Regulatory.
This position is responsible for handling permitting requirements associated with well activity, researching, and resolving issues that arise from regulatory agencies and accounting groups, keeping abreast of rules and regulation changes that impact operations and coordinating change of operator filings with various regulatory agencies related to divestments, acquisitions or deals negotiated by the land department.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- File appropriate permits/documents with regulatory agencies
- Monitor permit status with the regulatory agencies
- Monitor drill schedule for drilling compliance
- Internal and external stakeholder communication
- Coordinate and work with accounting, land, field construction, geology, drilling, and production
- Issue and file monthly permits for oil and gas wells
- Filing of completion reporting
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Works with regulatory bodies to ensure fluid operations without delays

Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to solve complex problems effectively, independently and in a team setting
- Maintain a great working relationship with State and Federal regulatory bodies
- Excellent written and verbal communication styles
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
Preferred:
- Previous Oil and Gas experience
Education & Work Experience Required
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in related role and knowledge of the oil and gas industry
- Prior experience with regulatory filings and field operation
