What we’re looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and resourceful metals reporter to join our Metals Team, covering the ferrous market in Brazil.
This position will produce high-quality editorial content, spanning iron ore, semi-finished and finished steel.
What is involved
In this role, you will be analysing spot markets, writing daily/weekly news articles and networking with contacts in the metals trading industry. You will be innately curious and personable and be able to quickly become a subject matter expert and lead coverage within a designated product portfolio.
You will apply and develop skills in daily news reporting, market analysis, features, and editorials, in a fast-paced environment with the highest standards of journalistic independence and integrity. As part of this role, there are opportunities to travel and present papers at industry conferences and lead webinar sessions.

Key Responsibilities
Skills and Experience
- Written and Spoken proficiency in both English and Portuguese
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, economics, business, or relevant field
- Demonstrated reporting, writing and goal-oriented collaboration skills, with strong diplomatic, analytical, and problem-solving ability
- A basic understanding of markets: Experience covering physical commodity markets is a plus
- A commitment to the highest level of accuracy and completing all writing within established deadlines
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite with experience in Excel
- Must be flexible with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, including the ability to relate successfully to a variety of people externally and internally, forging strong professional relationships

- Pursuant to Brazilian current legislation and for so long as such legislation shall remain in force, you are entitled to receive:
- A Christmas bonus (also called “13th Salary”), equivalent to one monthly salary.
- A 30-day vacation period per year.
- A vacation payment equivalent to one-third of your monthly salary.
