What we’re looking for: 

We are currently looking for a Tax Accountant to join our tax team at Argus on a permanent basis. The Tax Accountant role will provide support to our Senior International Tax Accountant who is also based in Mumbai. The Tax Assistant will join a growing tax team of seven, one in Mumbai and six in London.

The role will be tax compliance focused and will provide the successful candidate with exposure to a wide variety of tax issues and the ability to develop quickly in an international role.

What will you be doing? 

• International indirect tax (VAT, GST, US Sales and Use tax) return preparation.
• Analysis for corporation tax purposes and withholding tax administration.
• Drafting responses to customer tax queries.
• Accounts Payable tax administration.
• Balance sheet account reconciliations.
• E-invoicing research and administration.
• Assisting the Senior International Tax Accountant with ad-hoc work as required.

Skills and Experience:  

• Qualified accountant with 2+ years experience in indirect taxes.
• Comfortable with using Microsoft Excel, Word and Power BI.
• Experience of working in a tax team for a large international organization preferable.
• Ability to perform tasks to a high level of accuracy.
• Able to identify and suggest process improvements.
• Working at pace under time pressure in order to meet deadlines.
