What will you be doing?

 

Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking for a proactive Regional Account Manager to manage our regional business in Japan.

 

You will be responsible for subscription sales of crude oil, oil products, generation fuels, metals, and LPG, pricing data, outlooks, annuals, and associated consulting services.   This includes active follow-ups from marketing and event efforts, generating and closing interest in the company’s products and services.  You will also identify target sectors and contact them to grow revenue.

 

  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify, plan and implement clear sales initiatives to optimise subscription licensing opportunities.
  • Coordinate with marketing and business development teams to generate effective marketing campaigns.
  • To systematically and diligently follow up, qualify leads, and highlight relevant products and services.
  • Travel to key conferences and events to network and develop/expand sales opportunities.
  • Manage and monetise client relationships.

 

What we’re looking for in you

 

  • Be independent, self-motivated and disciplined following-through sales cycles.
  • Educated to Degree level or above.
  • Confident in giving effective sales presentations and own strong communication skills.
  • Have a minimum of 3-years frontline information sales experience and show a successful track record in managing B2B sales.
  • Be a strong and professional communicator, liaising with international leaders effectively.
  • Experience in the domestic commodities industry’s price data subscription sales environment is a bonus.
  • Able to use initiative and work as part of a team.

Travel

  • Cover client meetings, conferences, and events (5-15% of travel in domestic market and Asia).

 

Hours

Monday through Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. 

Earlier or later hours, or weekend hours, may be expected on occasion.
