What we’re looking for
Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking for a passionate, dynamic, and ambitious accountant with an innovative approach to join our Finance team at Argus. We are looking for a capable assistant accountant to support our Finance team in handling European finance responsibilities. In this role, you will swiftly develop an understanding of the business operations to take responsibility for your tasks as well as providing support to the wider Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Posting and reconciliation of cost accruals
- Variance analysis - Investigation of month end expense variances for the Group’s European entities
- Balance sheet reconciliations to trial balances
- Multi-currency bank reconciliations
- Processing of manual and automatic journals in NetSuite ERP system
- Expenses platform administration
- Support the preparation of the year-end group and subsidiary financial statements and statutory audits
- Support the Finance team on ad hoc projects
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience of general accounting within a busy, international Finance team
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively with a clear sense of urgency
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated, flexible and performance orientated
- Strong IT skills, in particular Excel. Experience with ERP systems desirable, ideally with Oracle NetSuite
