What we’re looking for 

   

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, inquisitive, numerate and literate individual to develop expertise in a fast-moving and politically significant global energy and commodities market. 

  

What is involved 

  

Your role will include engaging with Brazil-based companies active in energy transition markets. The environment is fast paced but values careful thought. You will enjoy collaborative work with colleagues from a range of backgrounds, many located in Argus’ other offices around the globe. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Build relationships with national oil companies, traders, distributors, producers, consumers, logistics providers and other stakeholders in Brazil.
  • Defend and promote usage of Argus prices among companies and entities active in these markets by identifying opportunities, crafting and delivering appropriate messaging to market participants to win support and adoption of Argus benchmarks.
  • Regularly communicate, verbally and in writing, information from external meetings and information on market developments to Argus management, editorial, sales, and marketing.
  • Leverage knowledge gained from market engagements to help update and develop new initiatives aimed at securing market usage of Argus benchmarks.

  

Skills and Experience 

  

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English a must. Fluency in Spanish a plus.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Excellent persuasion skills, with the ability to identify and express value propositions and sell ideas.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time.
