What will you be doing?
 

We are now seeking an experienced events marketer to work on a series of flagship events in the biggest and fastest growing part of our global conference business.

 

As the Senior Marketing Executive, you will drive the promotion of a portfolio of large scale events and will be integrally involved in the setting of overall strategic direction. Reporting to the Head of Conference Marketing, you will have ownership of the marketing campaigns for 8-10 conferences per year and be responsible for all planning, execution and monitoring of this activity. This will include analysis of past campaign performance, web content management, the production of email marketing, management of the design of printed collateral, data build strategy, pay per click advertising, marketing partnerships – in short, anything which will drive revenue on your events.

 

You will have experience in events marketing with the adaptability to hit the ground running. You will need strong analytical skills, a natural inclination to collaboration and teamwork and the drive to push new ideas and deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Contributing to events growth plans and planning marketing campaigns which will deliver these
  • Ownership of the event marketing campaign
  • Overseeing the design process for digital and print collateral
  • Creating emails and executing email campaigns
  • Identifying potential marketing partners, cultivating relationships and agreeing mutually beneficial deals
  • Updating the conference website and using analytics tools to optimise page layout and navigation
  • Managing data build projects and ongoing monitoring of data quality and hygiene
  • Analysing the effectiveness of campaigns and generating KPIs on campaign performance
  • Utilising social media channels as appropriate
  • Devising and implementing pay per click campaigns
  • Responding to customer enquiries where necessary
  • Attending your events and assisting with on-site logistics

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • Experienced in the ownership, planning and execution of marketing campaigns for B2B conferences
  • Experience in the use of email engines is essential, experience of marketing automation systems is desirable
  • Sophisticated understanding of digital marketing techniques including web navigation, social media, pay per click campaigns and the interlinking of these channels
  • Analytical mindset enabling the testing and measuring of different marketing tools
  • Eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and integrity of marketing copy
  • Personality to engage potential partners on the phone and face-to-face
  • Flexibility to adapt your working style to different markets, cultures and results
  • Open communication style and a commitment to teamwork
