What will you be doing?

The Accountant is a dedicated, versatile, technically skilled business professional who is a member of the finance team and a support to executive, and operational teams. Must be extremely trustworthy and respect the boundaries of confidentiality. This position impacts general accounting and process improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Registering new third-party vendors within the company’s ERP system.
  • Registering local third-party vendor invoices within the Company’s ERP system to be processed for subsequent payment.
  • Corresponding with local vendors (new and recurring) and issuing local invoices and supporting documentation with the applicable barcodes.
  • Acting as a liaison to the company’s business process outsourcing and tax compliance firm and remit vendor invoices to our business/tax compliance partners on a weekly basis.
  • Issuing local invoices (“nota fiscais”) to the Company’s customers and corresponding with said customers as needed.
  • Preparing outstanding receivable analysis to be sent to the leadership team of the Company.
  • Reconciling the Company’s accounts receivable balances between the Company’s internal financial records and the financials that are submitted to the local taxing authorities.
  • Possibly reconciling other significant balance sheet accounts (as needed) between the Company’s internal financial records and the financials that are submitted to the local taxing authorities.
  • Coding invoices and check requests correctly to ensure proper entry in financial records.
  • Assisting with general accounting duties when needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • In the final year of enrolment (or completed multiple years of course work) in an accredited institution with program focus in areas of Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excell.
  • Process improvement understanding.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently.
