What we’re looking for?

We are currently looking for analysts to support our global editorial team covering the emerging market for low-carbon hydrogen and related future fuels.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, inquisitive, numerate and literate individual to develop expertise in a developing but potentially huge new low-carbon energy market. The focus will be on curating and maintaining datasets for global “green” and “blue” hydrogen projects.

You will have a passion for understanding how complex systems work and will relish the prospect of developing your skills in a role that melds data-driven analysis with primary research.

Your role will include researching information on projects and tracking their progress, including through direct engagement with industry participants. You will develop, structure and maintain databases based on this information.

You will enjoy collaborative work with colleagues from a range of backgrounds, many located in Argus’ other offices around the globe.

The role would be ideally suited to a dynamic and curious self-starter with an interest in the energy transition, and who enjoys cultivating sources as well as structuring complex information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and curate datasets for global hydrogen projects through online research and direct engagement with project developers.
  • Engage with the wider editorial and consulting teams to report on key findings and updates.
  • Review processes and database structures to help streamline them.

Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level from a leading university.
  • Previous experience in building datasets or in the energy sector
  • Proficiency/experience working with Excel.
  • Knowledge of the energy and commodity sectors useful but not essential
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to network and build contacts with industry participants.
  • Strong co-ordination and time management skills
  • Additional languages useful but not essential

Attributes:

  • Demonstrable interest in the energy transition, global business, and politics
  • Self-motivated, able to use initiative and inquisitive by nature.
  • Strong social skills and team-oriented

What’s in it for you:

  • Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a rewarding salary package coupled with an enticing company bonus scheme, acknowledging your contributions and incentivizing your continued excellence.
