Position Summary:
 
The Market Access & Patient Services Analytics Intern will support core analytics and operations activities for Market Access and Patient Services, with a focus on payer policy documentation, data quality, and reporting enablement. This role will help standardize payer information, improve foundational data accuracy, and enhance reporting documentation to enable better data-driven decision making and operational efficiency across commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop payer policy documentation 
    • Compile and standardize payer policy and medical exception information into clear documentation and reference materials.
    • Create structured resources that internal teams can easily access for payer coverage criteria, restriction language, and process nuances.
  • Quality control of foundational data 
    • Perform quality checks on Market Access and Patient Services foundational data tables.
    • Identify inconsistencies, missing fields, or anomalies and help develop QC alert reports and validation processes to proactively flag issues.
  • Support FRM operational processes 
    • Assist with field reimbursement manager (FRM) operational needs including roster management, territory alignment updates, and target list tracking.
    • Ensure data accuracy and timely updates to support FRM field activities and reporting.
  • Enhance reporting documentation 
    • Help build a Tableau report catalog that documents available dashboards, published datasets, primary users, and key use cases.
    • Create training and reference materials to improve report adoption, understanding, and self-service use across internal teams.

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Excel or similar tools; familiarity with Tableau or other BI platforms is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into clear instructions and reference materials.
  • Interest in market access, patient services, or commercial operations in the life sciences or healthcare industry.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with basic data quality checks, data validation, or reporting processes.
  • Exposure to payer policy, reimbursement, or healthcare data is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with SQL or other data querying tools is a plus.
