Ardelyx is a publicly traded commercial biopharmaceutical company founded with a mission to discover, develop and commercialize innovative first-in-class medicines that meet significant unmet medical needs. Ardelyx has two commercial products approved in the United States, IBSRELA® (tenapanor) and XPHOZAH® (tenapanor). Ardelyx has agreements for the development and commercialization of tenapanor outside of the U.S. Kyowa Kirin commercializes PHOZEVEL® (tenapanor) for hyperphosphatemia in Japan. A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been submitted in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.
Job Summary:
The Corporate Communications Specialist will be a versatile role encompassing investor relations, digital communications, internal communications and corporate communications. This individual will work collaboratively with the corporate communications team and cross-functionally to prepare for various investor engagement activities, develop communications materials for internal and external audiences and manage digital platforms. This is a hybrid role based out of the company’s Waltham, MA office.
Essential Functions:
Investor Relations
- Assist in organizing and coordinating investor-related events, such as earnings calls, investor conferences and one-on-one meetings.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of investor interactions and communications.
- Preparing company executives for participation in investor engagement events.
- Lead and provide support for investor-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Digital Communications
- Assist in crafting engaging content for the company website, social media platforms, and other digital channels. Experience with designing graphics for social media, using tools such as Canva, is a plus.
- Assist with crafting editorial calendars and re-purposing stories across platforms
- Monitor metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of digital campaigns and make data-driven recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to identify opportunities for storytelling.
Internal Communications
- Support the management of the company intranet, ensuring it plays an integral role informing, engaging and connecting employees on internal news, mission, strategy, values and shared interests.
- Develop internal communications materials, such as intranet content, newsletters, announcements and all-company presentations.
- Assist in coordinating internal communication initiatives, demonstrating project management and organizational skills.
Corporate Communications
- Work with the rest of the Corporate Communications team to increase Ardelyx’s reputation as an employer of choice through industry awards, recognitions and profiles.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communication, journalism, marketing and advertising, or another relevant field.
- 3-5 years of prior experience in communication, writing, project management or relevant role.
- Prior biotech/pharmaceutical communications or agency experience is a plus.
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Passion for creative, memorable storytelling
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments and with external partners.
- Capacity to quickly gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality and timely work product.
- Interest to constantly improve through gathering feedback and measuring outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure, including setting and managing priorities, with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Great work ethic and sense of ownership and accountability while demonstrating high level of internal cross-functional partnership and collaboration
Work Environment:
- Waltham, MA office-based hybrid position
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $93,660-$114,474. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
