A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been approved in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.
Position Summary:
The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for the management of pharmacy relationships supporting both Ardelyx brands, including IBSRELA and XPHOZAH to meet the defined goals of the Market Access team. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for specialty pharmacies and be adept at developing and maintaining relationships, driving strategic key initiatives, contract performance and enhancing overall program effectiveness. The role will be an active collaborator with various internal teams to implement complex projects, optimize service delivery, and ensure high-quality standards in the management of our specialty pharmacy programs.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for designated specialty pharmacy partners and services, addressing their inquiries and resolving performance-related issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e. Patient Services) to develop and implement programs to support business objectives for specialty pharmacy services
- Manage specialty pharmacy contractual requirements, lead quarterly business reviews and uphold specialty pharmacies to key performance indicators
- Analyze and track trends for specialty pharmacies through multiple data sources (i.e. pharmacy dashboard, real-time data; etc) to help drive process improvement and key strategic initiatives
- Work on implementation and project management of specialty pharmacy programs across brands
- Develop training Address internal inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitate training for specialty pharmacy communication between Patient Services and other cross-functional teams for designated specialty pharmacy partner
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the reach and impact of our specialty pharmacy programs
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field with 7 - 9 years of experience in a specialty pharmacy, or healthcare management field or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations, market trends, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Understanding of managed care and pharmacy benefit cost management levers preferred
- Project management experience preferred – ability to track complex projects and bring tasks to completion on time and within budget
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools for data analysis and reporting is preferred
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $155,000-$209,000. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
