Position Summary:
The Senior IT Business Analyst, Commercial & Patient Services serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving the delivery of solutions that support commercial operations and patient services. This role leads complex initiatives, translates business needs into scalable technical solutions, and ensures alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Commercial and Patient Services stakeholders to understand business objectives and define solution requirements
  • Evaluate potential projects and business models to determine their viability and alignment with long-term organizational goals 
  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of complex functional and non-functional requirements
  • Translate business needs into detailed specifications, user stories, and process flows for technical teams
  • Analyze current state processes and design future state solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and cross-functional discussions to drive alignment and decision making
  • Support implementation and enhancement of systems including CRM and patient services platforms
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to deliver high-quality technology solutions aligned to business needs
  • Lead user acceptance testing activities and validate that solutions meet defined requirements and quality standards
  • Support data analysis, reporting, and insights to enable commercial effectiveness and patient engagement
  • Ensure solutions align with compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements

Please note: this position is hybrid-based out of our Waltham, MA office and requires a presence on-site 2-3 days per week.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience in business analysis or equivalent experience
  • MUST have at least 6 years of experience working in Pharmaceuticals / Bio-tech industry with focus on Commercial Operations and / or Patient Services business functions
  • Strong proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Expert knowledge of Veeva CRM, Patient Hub, Specialty Pharmacy Distribution model, Data Aggregation
  • Expert knowledge of Agile (Scrum & Kanban) and Waterfall delivery frameworks
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and process modeling capabilities
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives
  • Advanced critical thinking, negotiation, and large-group facilitation skills for managing diverse stakeholder interests
  • Industry recognized certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA preferred
 
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $146,000 - $178,000  Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
