Description

ARC Document Solutions is looking for a Full-time Library Digitization Coordinator to support our AIM Production team and help ensure the accurate and efficient digitization of library collections. This is a hands-on role that combines physical materials handling with coordination across library and production teams.
 
Description:
As a Library Digitization Coordinator, you will serve as a key link between library staff and the digitization team, helping ensure materials move efficiently and accurately through the digitization process. This role is primarily hands-on and involves pulling, organizing, tracking, and preparing books and other materials for digitization, while supporting workflow coordination, quality checks, and communication.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Pull, sort, categorize, and organize books and materials for digitization
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including packing and labeling
  • Handle materials carefully, including fragile or special collections
  • Maintain accurate records and track materials throughout the process
  • Coordinate with library staff and digitization teams to support workflow and timelines
  • Monitor hand-offs between teams to prevent delays or errors
  • Perform basic quality checks and flag issues (missing, damaged, or difficult materials)
  • Follow collection-specific handling and documentation standards
  • Lift, move, and box materials.
  • Maintain an organized, compliant work area
  • Assist with other production tasks as needed
Additional Information:
This is an in-office role based in Los Angeles (Downtown).
Work is performed in a secure production environment (no mobile phone access during work hours).
Responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may expand based on business needs.
 
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience in a library, archive, or similar environment preferred
  • Library or archival training, coursework, certification, or degree is a plus
  • Comfortable with hands-on, physical work
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records
  • Adaptable and able to work in both quiet and fast-paced environments
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Windows, or similar)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to pass a background check
