Who we’re looking for:   
ARC Document Solutions is looking for a Production Assistant to receive orders and process color print work utilizing various equipment to finish the job to the exact customer standards. This includes filling in any sizes, quantities, job names or purchase orders on the work order prior to starting the job. Oversee the color production and job preparation, submission, and workflow tasks for each assigned equipment. Operate scanning, bindery & finishing, reproduction, and duplication equipment. Must be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite of programs. Exceed client expectations by fostering a “Whatever it Takes” attitude while producing and delivering the highest quality product. Will perform the following duties.   
In this role you will:   
  • Prioritize incoming orders based on such criteria as customer needs, workload, media, finishing, bindery, and machine capabilities.
  • Estimate time and media requirements; inform the production manager and/or client of any requests that can’t be met and give recommendations to fulfill client needs.
  • Receive, process, & modify client files as needed to print per specifications.
  • Make suggestions regarding media, substrate, bindery, and other finishing options.
  • Operate and maintain printers, scanners, bindery and/or finishing equipment.
  • Maintain media, substrate, ink, toner, bindery, and/or finishing inventory.
  • QC printed and finished materials based on our high-quality standard.
  • Package completed projects for Will-Call, Delivery, or Shipping.
  • Organize, arrange, and decorate your work area to enhance productivity.
  • Work overtime when necessary to meet client expectations.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.
  • Assist customer service by answering phones and taking messages as needed.
Skills that you bring to the job: 
  • The ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. 
  • Working Knowledge of RIP software – Onyx & Procut. 
  • Working Knowledge of Acrobat. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Software such as Outlook, Excel, & Word. 
  • Tech savvy – able to navigate new (and old) software with limited training. 
  • Mathematical skills including Imposition and Scale. 
  • Knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in printing, duplicating, & binding. 
  • The ability to lift to 50lbs, & maneuver printed sets efficiently to ensure no damage occurs during bindery and/or packaging. 
  • Attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task while maintaining quality, accuracy & scale. 
  •  A can-do attitude with a continuing need to self-improve by researching new materials and learning            innovative ways to utilize production equipment in our quest to delight our clients. 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-2 years Reprographics or Printing Experience
  • 1-2 years working experience in Bindery or Finishing of Printed Materials
