Print Finishing Operator  (2nd Shift - 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
ARC Document Solutions, Inc. (www.e-arc.com) is
 looking for a Part-Time Finishing Operator to help us continue to provide the best employment experience for employees and continued excellent service for our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking candidates for our vacant Finishing Operator role. The Finishing Operator works directly with the Sales and Operations teams by using various equipment and machines to finish the printed product to exact customer specifications to support the business by performing the following duties:

  • Mount printed media to various substrates using mounting adhesives
  • Trim / cut printed material to specifications
  • Laminate printed media
  • Stitch / hem banners
  • Study production schedule. Estimate hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Inform the Manager of any requests that can’t be met. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Ensure required resources are available to complete job
  • Address problematic orders and customer complaints.
  • Inspect finished work for quality, count and sizes.
  • Minor maintenance functions include cleaning, replenishing consumables, replacing filters and waste containers.
  • Provide quality customer service to maintain current accounts and enhance the company's image.
  • Process, comprehend, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Gather, organize, and wrap completed work for delivery to customer.
  • Keep area stocked with paper and supplies. Notify your supervisor if supplies need to be reordered.
  • Report mechanical failure to the Production Manager or Branch Manager.
  • Work overtime when necessary. Overtime is a condition of employment.
  • Assist in other departments when necessary
  • Assist in preparing packages for delivery
  • Perform any other tasks, duties, or functions directed by the Production or Branch Manager.
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Knowledge and understanding of Adobe software a plus

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in color reprographics field in a professional environment using graphic applications
  • 1-2 years of direct color services and design such as signage, posters, projects, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in finishing and mounting
  • Experience in table saws, wall saw, panel saw, drills, hand tools (hammer, box cutter)
  • Basic Math Skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Able to measure in fractions of inches up to and including 32nds
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and align operations and sales processes to achieve business results
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, resourcefully with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strong working relationships with internal and external customers
