Staff Product Manager
Description
- Lead a development team focused on delivering both customer and business outcomes for AppFolio Insurance Service’s renters insurance offering
- Create, own, and maintain alignment around the multi-year vision and strategy for the renters insurance product
- Prioritize opportunities across the entire funnel, from awareness, to purchase, to retention, in order to drive exponential growth
- Shape Appfolio’s broader resident strategy by leading through influence and collaborating with other product and business leaders across the organization
- Deliver near-term outcomes by executing on high-velocity product experimentation, while also de-risking bigger bets and leading new initiatives
Qualifications:
- 5 years of product management experience building a best-in-class consumer product
- Outstanding analytical skills: you are comfortable integrating both qualitative and quantitative data into your decision-making
- Stellar communication: you have a knack for storytelling, can distill complex ideas into a digestible narrative, and understand that 90%
of communication is listening - World-class product sense: you have strong intuition and know when to trust your gut and when to get more data
- High agency: you consistently overcome obstacles, bounce back from setbacks, and take initiative to get things done
- Prior experience with A/B testing and optimizing a conversion funnel (nice-to-have)
- Prior experience in fintech, real estate, and/or another highly regulated industry (nice-to-have)
- Collaborative: You are an empathetic leader who leverages your teammates’ functional expertise while retaining a sense
of ownership over outcomes. You can effectively partner with a wide range of stakeholders upward and laterally throughout the org,
understanding their goals in order to build alignment and deliver on your own.
