What You’ll Do

We are currently hiring a Billing Representative to join our Billing Team. By working  directly with our client base you will serve as the link between AppFolio and the customer.  This role directly impacts the customer's overall experience, happiness and retention.  

 Responsibilities 

  • Provide timely responses to customer billing inquiries via phone and email
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize the customer experience while  resolving billing cases  
  • Utilize SalesForce and Zoura to manage all customer interaction and inquiries
  • Apply customer payments accurately and timely  
  • Ensure accounts with collection issues are identified early and resolution acted upon  immediately  
  • Reconcile customer accounts and keep AR current and accurate  
  • Provide ongoing collection efforts on all past due accounts 
  •  Assist with invoicing to ensure timely and accurate billing for all AppFolio customers  
  • Bank deposits are accurately processed via desktop check deposit 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate risk and enhance customer experience

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong curiosity and desire to learn 
  • Raises the customer experience with all decisions 

Must-Haves 

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service 
  • 2+ years of experience in billing or accounting team functions 
  • 2+ years of experience in collections and cash application  
  • Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM system  
  • Experience with Zuora or other billing software preferred  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills  
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment  
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team 
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills 
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
