The Sr. Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting our expanding business and contributing to the success of our Accounting Team. This position will work closely with the Accounting Manager and foster strong relationships with the broader finance organization. 
Own the areas you are responsible for by delivering accurate and timely monthly closes and proactively look for areas of improvement. Wow our internal customers by demonstrating an understanding of the business and partnering with key stakeholders to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the department.

 

Your impact
  • Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals and adjustments.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, including identification of trends and resolutions of issues.
  • Oversee and manage intercompany balances, ensuring that intercompany agreements are accurately recorded and maintained.
  • Prepare fluctuation analyses and perform financial statement analytics, providing clear and relevant explanations for variances to senior management.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls in line with SOX requirements.
  • Implement, document and maintain effective processes to improve the close cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly SEC reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, 10-Q and 10-K filings, and various footnote disclosures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, FP&A, and other business units to establish best practices and drive continuous process improvement for more efficient GL accounting and reporting.
  • Drive complex accounting projects and initiatives, partnering with other members of the accounting and finance team as well as other departments.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate financial fluctuations and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to proactively identify areas for process improvement and successfully implement solutions, and demonstrate the capacity to be a self-starter.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external partners.
Must have
  • BA/BS in Economics, Business, or a related field; emphasis in Accounting preferred.
  • CPA license.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Background in public accounting audit and assurance or similar industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP. 
  • Proficient in accounting software including Netsuite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace applications, particularly Google Sheets.

 

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is $85,600 - $107,000.
The actual base salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
