About the role:      
 
The responsibility of the Assistant Clinic Manager involves participating in the management of the administrative aspects of an assigned clinic. The Assistant Clinic Manager ensures that policies and procedures are enforced in a fair and equitable manner. The Assistant Clinic Manager functions in the capacity of a working position while on duty and is expected to functionally understand all aspects of the positions reporting to them. 
 
What You’ll Do:
 
  • Demonstrated management, leadership, and inter-personal skills with ability to interact effectively and professionally with providers, staff, patients, and vendors.
  • Rounding frequently with providers and staff throughout the day to ensure that the medical operation at the designated location is running as smoothly as possible.
  • Performs quality tasks
    • Ensuring all new patients have an AWV/APE scheduled
    • Ensuring all applicable quality gaps are addressed by provider
    • Run quality eBO reports
    • Optum Attestation: Portal pull, complete, submit and track
    • Humana ADP form: Complete, outreach and schedule the pt
    • HPN form: Portal, Inovalon complete online and tracking
    • Silver Summit attestations
    • Transition of Care/Hospital Follow-Up: Obtain Hospital records OR Unable to Contact outreach for scheduling
    • Quality Gaps in Care Pursuit List
    • Data mine, place global alerts, outreach pts to help schedule
  • Supervises staff and provides ongoing support and motivation. Performs routine audits to ensure accuracy and quality measures for each position are being met.
  • Sets consistent standards for staff performance and development; holds staff accountable for their performance.
  • Communicates with employees to provide exchange, verify, and answer inquiries, and helps as needed to complete daily tasks.
  • Strives to improve the overall quality of patient encounters throughout the patient journey at Valley Oaks Medical Group.
  • Must possess demonstrated skill in conflict resolution. Consults and addresses difficult issues in a professional manner. Resolve complaints from customers or employees whenever possible and escalate unresolved issues to the Administrator in a timely manner. 
  • Develops and implements staffing standards for clinic programs with effective, economical use of resources. Proposes options for solving staffing problems that are within acceptable parameters and utilizes appropriate resources.
  • Monitors staffing, and attendance in compliance with company standards.
  • Assists in developing clinic standards, and monitors staff for adherence to those standards. 
  • Oversees the assignment of work, workflow, and project deadlines.
  • This position has the authority to supervise, coach and counsel employees of the assigned clinic according to VOMG policies and procedures in collaboration with VOMG Administrator.
  • Hiring, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating staff must be approved by the Administrator and/or Senior Leadership of VOMG Medical Center
 
Qualifications:
  • High school or GED equivalent. AA or BS highly desired.
  • Previous management skills required.
  • Must be willing to travel between clinics in Las Vegas.
  • Experience in managing a healthcare facility or clinic.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate clinic staff to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Exceptional organizational and Time management skills to ensure that quality services are provided.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • eCW Experience a plus
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A high level of professionalism
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and patient management software

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance practices. .
    Knowledge required of ICD-10 and CPT coding and how it affects reimbursement from third party payors.
  • Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer programs and applications.
  • Knowledge of managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:     
  • This position is based in our Stone Creek clinic location in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area.
  • The annual total compensation target pay range for this role is: $48,000-$52,000 a year. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
