Job Title: Senior Director of Data 
Department: Data - Analytics 

About the Role: 
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Data to lead our data initiatives within the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in healthcare data concepts, a strong technical background in key technologies, and a proven track record in data architecture, data quality, and data security.
 
What You’ll Do: 
  • Data Architecture Leadership: Develop and oversee the organization's data architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices. 
  • Data Quality Management: Implement and manage data quality initiatives to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of healthcare data. 
  • Data and User Administration: Oversee data governance, including access controls, user permissions, and compliance with data regulations. 
  • Data Security Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to implement principles and best practices of data security. 
  • Healthcare Data Expertise: Leverage extensive knowledge of healthcare claims, CCLF, EHR data, FHIR, HL7, labs, pharmacy, clinical data, MMR/MAO files, gaps in care files, eligibility, and healthcare event and episode logic. 
  • Technology Implementation: Utilize key technologies such as Databricks, SQL Server, Tuva data model, dbt, Redox, AWS, Microsoft Azure Stack, Elation EHR, and Great Expectations to drive data initiatives. 
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the data team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
 
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the healthcare industry. 
  • Technical Proficiency: 
    • Expertise in healthcare data standards and protocols (FHIR, HL7, EHR data). 
    • Strong experience with data modeling and architecture in healthcare contexts. 
    • Proficiency in Databricks, Python, SQL Server, AWS, Microsoft Azure Stack, dbt, and other relevant technologies. 
  • Data Quality and Security: Demonstrated experience in managing data quality initiatives and implementing data security best practices. 
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Collaborative Approach: Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • This position is remotely based in the U.S.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $210,000 - $220,000. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
