Title: Accounting Manager 

Department: Finance - Accounting 

About The Role: 
 

As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations of the company, reporting to the Controller. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and conduct insightful financial analysis. Working closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the financial planning process, help maintain a robust financial control environment and contribute to the assessment and implementation of new financial systems and processes.  You have a growth mindset and always look for ways to improve existing processes. 

 
What You Will Do: 

  • Direct management and development of a team of accountants. 
  • Complete external consolidated audits quarterly/annually and maintain proper documentations of key processes/files 
  • Work closely with external auditors to complete standalone audits for IPA’s annually 
  • Review IBNR and perform related analysis 
  • Review, maintain and reconcile the general ledger on a monthly basis; prepare monthly balance sheet analyses. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close. 
  • Assist in preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports as required by Department of Managed Health Care’s agreement. 
  • Submit quarterly and annual financial reports to health plans. 
  • Work closely with the reporting team to provide accurate and timely information for SEC filing 
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with U.S. GAAP. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate Capitation processing and payment
  • Manage internal and external ad-hoc requests. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA required
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. 
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, as well as industry-specific accounting practices related to healthcare. 
  • Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage and advanced MS Office Suite skills. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:  

  • Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis. The office is located at 1668 S Garfield Avenue, Alhambra, CA 91801 
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $140,000 - $160,000.  This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
