What we look for -
Apex Group is looking for a Depositary Manager in Stockholm to build a team delivering depositary services to Real Estate and Private Equity funds. The role requires cash flow monitoring, investment checks, NAV oversight, and client relationship management. Candidates should have 5+ years in a relevant role, strong industry knowledge
 
The Role & Key Responsibilities
 
  • Build a team of approximately 3-4 Depositary staff, with the scope to grow further
  • Manage the delivery of depositary services to a growing portfolio of Real Estate and Private Equity fund clients
  • Ensure the daily Cash flow monitoring and reconciliation process is completed on a daily basis to include:
  • Reconciliation of subscriptions and redemptions
  • Identifying and recording new cash accounts
  • Identifying and reconciling all cash flow movements
  • Highlighting any significant or inconsistent cash flows
  • Ensure that the Investment and Borrowing monitoring checks for assigned funds have been completed
  • Ensure that any breaches and NAV errors identified are immediately reported to Depositary Management and logged
  • Ensure that certain NAV Oversight reviews are completed as assigned, including: Cash and Stock Reconciliations, Distribution Reviews, TA Reconciliations, Failed Trades Checks, NAV Reviews
  • Compile and update KPI and revenue reporting for submission to Management
  • Ensure adherence to all policies & procedures and local laws and regulations
  • Responsible for the Client relationship management for trustee / depositary clients;
  • Responsible for the presentation of Depositary reports to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis for trustee / depositary clients
  • Assist in Sales/Business Development meetings for prospective trustee / depositary clients.
 
Skills Required and Qualifications -
  • Preferably 5+ years of work experience in a depositary, fund accounting, Investment Manager or similar role. Exposure to Investment Compliance Monitoring would be a big advantage;
  • Strong industry knowledge and financial services experience, with an understanding of the depositary’s role and responsibilities;
  • Strong people management experience, along with hands-on management of driving teams and projects;
  • Good interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with colleagues;
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills;
  • A strong attention to detail;
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.
