Apex Group is looking for a full-time Manager (Private Equity) to take responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting of a portfolio of Private Equity Fund clients. The hybrid role involves all aspects of accounting services, including but not limited to financial statements review and NAV reporting. 

 

As a Manager (Private Equity) you will have responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting of a portfolio of Private Equity Fund clients. You will manage the day-to-day fund accounting and reporting services to clients and structures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.

 

In your first few weeks in this Manager (Private Equity) role, you can expect to:

  • Build a detailed understanding of client portfolios, including any entity-specific requirements and applicable statutory regulations/requirements impacting accounting and reporting
  • Contribute and monitor the bookkeeping and financial reporting processes
  • Manage the response to and the resolution of client and investor queries relating to accounting and financial information
  • Act as the primary source of guidance to other team members to address and resolve client queries
  • Review the financial statements in compliance with applicable GAAP (primarily IFRS and UK Accounting Standards)

 

To apply for this Manager (Private Equity) role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

  • Proficiency in IFRS and UK Accounting Standards
  • Substantial accounting experience, preferably within the private equity industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of Jersey statutory laws and related legal and regulatory requirements, particularly those impacting financial accounting and reporting
