The Role & Key Responsibilities:

 As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be responsible to:

  • Set up and maintenance of financial administrations but not limited to preparation and review of NAV reports on a monthly and quarterly basis;
  • Cash Management including management of bank accounts and payments instructions;
  • Supporting with onboarding of new clients, mainly on Open Ended and Closed end Fund structures:
  • Resolve audit queries directly with auditors to ensure the audits are completed on time;
  • Preparation and review of financial statements under IFRS and ensure filing with FSC within the prescribed deadline;
  • Maintain and organise planning of work to ensure timely and accurate completion of agreed deliverables;
  • Train and guide junior staff with operational tasks;
  • Providing support on Annual returns, APS returns, PAYE return, TDS returns and VAT returns, as required and filing of returns with MRA:
  • Assist seniors in preparation of Capital Calls, Distribution, Capital Account Statements and investor reporting. 

 

Please note that the above is not an exhaustive list of duties. Fulfilment of additional duties as and when required is expected from the Senior Associate.

Skills Required:

  • Holds a degree and/or has substantially completed a professional qualification or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of working experience in the Global Business Sector or equivalent;
  • Demonstrates a client service mindset when servicing the client.
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict timelines when required.
  • The individual needs to be highly organised and has very high attention to detail in a digitised environment.
  • Has good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The individual is well organised and a track record of working to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of PFS Paxus and Efront is a pre (fund accounting and administration system).
  • Attentive to detail, accuracy, analytical, technical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
