Apex Group seeks an experienced and collaborative Associate (BAS Reporting) to join our inclusive and thriving team. This full-time Associate role is based in Pune, Bangalore and offers a favourable salary and benefits.

 

The successful candidate will join the BAS (business activity statement) reporting and reconciliation team as an Associate and will be closely working with the local team and Client Service Managers based in Singapore and Australia regions concerning the performance of duties related to the BAS report preparation and reconciliation process.

 

To give you an idea of how this Associate (BAS Reporting) role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

  • Prepare the BAS Reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly basis using accounting reports in Microsoft Excel
  • Derive actual realized gain and loss and interest income from PNL to report in the BAS report
  • Calculate the actual GST paid and GST receivable from ATO for BAS lodgement
  • Review all the fund's expenses with actual invoices and ensure correct values are accounted for GST received, if any
  • Timing differences are to be adjusted with proper explanation
  • Check the accuracy of distributions paid and withheld tax

 

To apply for this Associate (BAS Reporting) role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:

  • 4 years of Hedge/Mutual funds reconciliation or accounting experience
  • Good understanding of financial services and investment products
  • Experience with reconciliation and break resolution and, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, analytical, technical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
