The role

We have an immediate opening for a Talent Acquisition professional to join our Global Human Resources team.  This position will be based in one of our European offices - preferably in London, but we would consider another location. This recruiter will play an instrumental role as a strategic recruiting partner, creatively sourcing candidates and managing the full life-cycle recruitment process for global positions based in various locations in Europe, South East Asia, India, Japan and China. The recruiter will manage multiple openings for vacant key leadership positions, as well as current and anticipated project roles. This role requires good grasp of the key practice areas and expertise sought, strong global networks and sourcing aptitude, ability to manage competing priorities, handle ambiguity and communicate with leaders at all levels of the firm. We look for someone who will help us not only meet emerging talent needs but more importantly build a strong global talent pipeline for the future. The ideal candidate is someone who has a proven track record of global talent acquisition, knows our industry, has worked in and is effective in various cultures and geographic regions.


  • Partners with business leaders and HR business partners to develop a talent acquisition strategy responsive to rapidly emerging business needs with focus on sourcing for priority projects, regions and positions as they emerge
  • Manages full life cycle recruiting: sources candidates, conducts phone screen interviews, maintains relationship with candidates throughout interview process, makes recommendations on hiring decisions, checks candidate references and negotiates and prepares offers
  • Partners with senior leaders, hiring managers, practice group leaders to understand short- and long-term needs across the business to identify passive and active candidates and over time build strong global candidate pipeline
  • Expands and leverages external networks; builds relationships with professional groups and educational institutions and promotes APCO employer brand
  • Identifies and builds a pool of short-term and part-time mobile network of external talent in response to priority needs and in specific geographic areas
  • Coordinates and collaborates with recruiters in other regions to optimize sourcing, networks and enhance candidate engagement
  • Partners with other team members to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Actively engages with internal talent pool about existing and future opportunities and tracks interest and availability
  • Stays current and proactive in identifying latest best practices and developments in talent acquisition, including appropriate technology and social media tools


  • Prior experience in professional services or agency environment required
  • Demonstrated ability to deploy effective tools and practices to successful talent sourcing and acquisition
  • Demonstrated success in previous recruiting roles, particularly, in building strong candidate pipelines across Europe and Asia
  • Proven track record of delivering strong candidates for critical project and leadership positions in a global firm
  • Good understanding of behavioural and case interviewing techniques
  • Strong written and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across cultures
  • Collaborative team player who also has also the ability to work independently, take initiative and set priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit talent, think analytically and develop creative solutions, especially for difficult candidate searches
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent
