Profile and Responsibilities

Our established and fast-growing Healthcare Practice in Paris has an opportunity for a Consultant/Senior Consultant to join our dedicated team.

We are looking for a high-performing and initiative-taking team member who will be responsible for managing, advancing and advising small to large client projects on highly sensitive issues, coordinating cross-border activities, advising clients, supervising the work product of junior team members and actively engaging in the generation of new business. 
The candidate is expected to have a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience successfully leading corporate communication projects and demonstrating an understanding of consultancy business practices and processes, strong tactical and strategic abilities, as well as excellent operational skills for communication-focused missions. The candidate should thrive in a fast-moving and intellectually challenging environment where a commitment to delivering consistent excellence in client service is a strong motivating force. She/he should demonstrate strong organisational capabilities and have strong written and oral communication skills.

The candidate would need to demonstrate a strong interest in healthcare as well as a desire to pursue her/his career in this field on the long term. Healthcare expertise would be considered a significant advantage, but motivated and fast-learning candidates are also welcomed.

Below is what is expected from a Consultant/Senior Consultant joining our Healthcare practice:
  • Independently manage small to large client projects;
  • Demonstrate strong tactical and strategic abilities;
  • Produce outstanding deliverables for communication-related activities and control the quality of deliverables of junior staff to maintain excellent client-service;
  • Actively look for and identify new business opportunities, together with more senior colleagues, and participate in pitches;
  • Provide effective coaching and deliver training to junior colleagues;
  • Understand APCO’s business practices and processes, and act as internal and external advocate for the organization;
  • Proactively identify external meetings and training opportunities for self-development and the building of sector knowledge and contacts;
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in healthcare as well as a desire to pursue her/his career in this field on the long term.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:
  • Degree and/or post-graduate degree in any related field to the role;
  • Ideally, a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience in consultancy or in-house (private company, institution, trade association, etc.);
  • Healthcare expertise would be considered a significant advantage, but motivated and fast-learning candidates are also welcomed;
  • Experience in developing and executing successful communication projects. Other complementary expertise in public affairs or crisis communications are considered an advantage ;
  • Strong understanding of French and global media & social media landscape;
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain a strong network;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills;
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills, proactive “can-do” attitude;
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written);
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel);
  • Eligible to work in France.
