APCO Worldwide is looking for a Project Assistant in Healthcare

The Project Assistant is primarily responsible for day-to-day client work under the daily supervision of a more senior team member. The Project Assistant plays a key role in the coordination of account activity and will perform a variety of tasks including research and analysis, media monitoring and preparing summary reports to support the client engagement.


  • Produce drafts of written materials such as press releases, summaries, reports and other client materials
  • Inform team members of possible issues regarding client projects
  • Assist in responding to RFPs and preparing proposals by correcting edits, compiling copies
  • Support other team members as necessary in order to complete client projects
  • Look for new business opportunities and present to staff
  • Conduct research using the internet, search engines and other means as appropriate
  • Monitor media, government and political issues and update media tracking spreadsheets or databases
  • Interface with vendor regarding products and services needed
  • Meet project deadlines as assigned
  • Coordinate and execute meeting logistics and event
  • Provide day-to-day support to client projects by producing quality client deliverables (i.e. issue monitoring report, policy research and analysis memo, briefing materials, etc.) and conducting stakeholder outreach under minimal supervision of senior managers
  • Support Project Managers to coordinate client meetings and events
  • Support new business processes by conducting research as well as drafting credentials and proposals
  • Participate actively in internal and client meetings, offering knowledgeable observations and suggestions; maintains self-awareness and professionalism to ensure contributions are appropriate
  • Maintain self-driven passion and actively develop knowledge of client issues and related industry trends, establish relationships with key opinion leaders, participate in industry networking events and inform team leaders of potential new business opportunities
  • Other responsibilities as assigned



EDUCATION: University degree

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 1 – 2 in the healthcare and PR space
