As Associate Software Engineer in Test, you’ll focus on providing support for test development and execution against Anthology’s new feature and legacy system releases. You will become an active member of an agile team of developers participating in daily stand-ups, design sessions, code reviews, and sprint demos. You will create and maintain automation frameworks and testing tools. You'll develop the test strategy for features, incorporating the right balance of unit tests, integration/API tests, and UI tests. You will design, implement, and maintain complex testing environments, performing all aspects of verification including functional, regression, load, and system testing as well as documentation. You’ll be working with AI technology to enhance development efficiency and create exciting new features for our customers. You will work in a Scrum team focused on building functionality for Anthology’s SIS, Student.
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in QA manual testing and automation
- Some experience developing test automation scripts for web applications and REST APIs
- Some experience capturing test requirements, documenting test cases, building test plans using automated tools like PlayWrite, Cucumber, Appium, and/or Selenium, and building and testing applications as part of a continuous delivery lifecycle
- Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- A technical understanding of database configuration and ability to write SQL queries
- Light experience with one or more scripting languages like shell or bash
- Light experience with REST APIs, JavaScript, XML, JSON
- Familiarity with build environments like Jenkins, Docker and Mesos
- Fluency in written and spoken English
