The Payroll Administrator Lead will support Anthology’s global payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple countries. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with substantial experience in payroll management, particularly within global organizations. The incumbent will assist in driving payroll functions, managing vendor relationships, and supporting a team of payroll professionals based in the US, Colombia, and India. This position demands a hands-on approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex payroll regulations in various countries.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation and processing of payroll for Anthology’s employees globally, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
- Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures for company-wide payroll processing and accounting
- Assisting in payroll integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions, supporting the onboarding of new employees
- Managing and mentoring a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance and support
- Partnering with HR, accounting, tax, legal, and other functional areas to provide data and reports as needed and ensuring responsive resolution of employee payroll issues/inquiries
- Supporting payroll activities for expansion into new international locations, ensuring compliance with local regulations
- Developing and monitoring internal controls to accurately report financial information for the payroll department
- Managing relationships with payroll vendors, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with contractual obligations
- Overseeing year-end processes, including filing and issuance of year-end forms to employees and authorities
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- At least 7 years of experience in payroll
- At least 3 years of experience in global payroll operations
- Strong organizational skills with a hands-on approach
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills, and relationship management
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Preferred skills/qualifications:
- Proven e,xperience with UKG payroll and time tracking (Workforce Management) (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity in payroll regulations for India, Colombia, Czech Republic, and the US (strongly preferred)
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification
- Proficiency in a second language
Pay range is $96,000- $105,000/year depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
