This position leads the technical implementation of our Reach CRM solution. This solution goes beyond the traditional CRM to help institutions with admissions, student success, retention, alumni, advancement and more, so our institutions can respond dynamically to each student’s unique experiences and needs at every stage of their lifecycle.
The Lead Software Developer is accountable for the successful delivery of our Reach CRM’s web application portal based on customer’s organizational process. This includes ensuring the overall technical solution and architecture is aligned and based on the enterprise architecture. The Lead Software Developer works with internal project teams and customers to ensure project deliverables are completed on time. The candidate must be proactive, self-starting, professional and strive for consistent high-quality results.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing or customizing web portals based on the customer requirement
- Acting as a technical software solution expert and coach, knowing tools, technologies and trends
- Architecting the file import framework custom solutions to bring the data from external systems
- Microsoft D365 CRM customization to include server-side code, creating custom workflow, and plug-ins
- Automating business processes with workflows and Power Automate
- Communicating information clearly, accurately and timely to project team members and customers
- Identifying, recognizing, and escalating risks and issues
- Performing assigned project tasks with minimal supervision
- Preparing design and technical documentation
- Training customer staff on the technical solution
- Identifying technical process improvement opportunities and serving as an internal change management champion
- Fostering an environment of teamwork both internally and externally
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience
- At least 8 years of experience developing with C# ASP.NET MVC Web Applications, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, OData
- Proficiency with Microsoft .NET 3.5+ development using C#
- Very good understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) and design patterns
- Leading a team of technical consultants on setting up best practices, improving individual and team’s productivity and ensuring team has a positive learning curve
- Works with the Technical/Solution architect and Practice Manager(s) to spearhead the design/solution of technical requirements, especially when complex requirements arrive
- Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments
- Demonstrated ability to work in team-based environments and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders during remote and/or onsite engagements
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly to explain Anthology products and services to customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Preferred skills/qualifications:
- Software development experience implementing complex software packages and/or CRM implementations
- Master's degree
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and/or other CRM systems
- Higher Education industry experience
