Anthology’s Integration team focuses on building solutions that would ensure smooth integration between the products of Anthology and also with applications from customer’s side. Using both industry standard and cutting-edge technologies, our team develops innovative, custom solutions that extend, enhance, and integrate Anthology’s enterprise products. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will play an integral role in the success of the Integration team within Anthology. A successful candidate will be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and implement software solutions.

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as an expert in Anthology’s products including their architecture, functionality, and deployment methodologies
  • Understanding software requirements and solutions designs
  • Estimating work effectively
  • Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Designing and documenting development tasks within system of record and helping other team members during implementation
  • Generating necessary unit and integration testing and results to be included in code reviews
  • Researching and experimenting with new technology that will advance future projects
  • Adhering to established delivery methodology, quality standards and best practices
  • Interacting closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Working well with multiple priorities in an extremely dynamic environment, initiating necessary tasks and ensuring complete follow up
  • Actively participating in an energetic team on a rapid development schedule

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or relevant
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Good experience in full stack Dot Net and web application development using:
    • C#
    • .NET MVC
    • Web API, oData
    • JavaScript, jQuery
    • HTML5, CSS, Boot Strap
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server including SQL queries, stored procedures and views
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure Cloud Technologies
  • Experience with Design Patterns and its capabilities
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), analytical and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically distributed virtual team environment and to build relationships with internal and external organizations
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills, and ability to manage expectations effectively when handling multiple assignments simultaneously with competing deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail, excellent work ethic and drive, great interpersonal skills, team oriented, and demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Fundamental understanding of bug tracking, versioning, and repository systems
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the education or knowledge management industry and e-learning technologies
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/Stash/GitHub and Perforce
  • Fundamental understanding of agile software development process methods
  • Fundamental understanding of Azure DevOps
