Description

Primary office can be set at at the Tampa, or Winter Park (Orlando), Florida office.
 
Travel between the following offices is required: Winter Park (Orlando), or Tampa office and to client homes’ in the field.
 
Work Schedule: This is a full-time, on-site position. Monday-Friday, daytime business hours
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide coordinated care to patients across all age groups, supporting continuity and quality of care.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well-being.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with all continuing education requirements as mandated by the applicable licensing board.
  • Support the coordination and administration of training programs, including CPR and Trach/Vent (T/V).
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining monthly training schedules, including adding, modifying, or canceling classes as needed.
  • Coordinate class logistics, including scheduling attendees, preparing materials, and maintaining attendance records and evaluations.
  • Deliver training courses as assigned, ensuring content is current and aligned with clinical standards and best practices.
  • Maintain and update training materials and course content to reflect current practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational needs.
  • Manage certification processes, including ordering, printing, and distributing CPR cards as required.
  • Travel to branch locations to conduct training sessions, as needed.
  • Review and validate certifications (e.g., CPR cards) to ensure compliance with employment and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide feedback on training participants to support staffing and scheduling decisions.
  • Serve as a resource to field staff, office staff, and clients by providing guidance, support, and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Partner with internal departments to deliver specialized training, including advanced homecare instruction for nursing students and customer service or technical training for employees.
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program required.
  • Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or completion of a program approved by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.

Certifications/Licensure

  • Current, active Texas State License as a Respiratory Therapist required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Experience

  • Demonstrated competency in respiratory therapy skills in accordance with generally accepted standards of practice.
  • Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) and its application in patient care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Proof of current immunizations or health requirements, including Hepatitis profile, as required.
  • Reliable transportation and current auto liability insurance required.
