Director of Business Development
Description
Location and Travel: This role serves the Dallas, TX area (must reside within the region). Frequent travel throughout the designated territory is expected.
Compensation: Base Salary + Commission
As a Director of Business Development (DBD), you will lead growth in a defined market through strategic sales leadership, relationship development, and marketing of Angels of Care services. You will manage and coach a team of Business Development Associates to execute business plans, build strong referral relationships, and meet growth goals. You’ll partner with referral sources such as case managers, discharge planners, referral coordinators, and physicians to ensure alignment with company standards and exceptional service delivery.
You will use your leadership, communication, and analytical skills to support your team, identify opportunities for growth, and champion Angels of Care’s mission, vision, and values across the communities we serve.
In this role, you will:
- Build, manage, and coach a high-performing team of Business Development Associates.
- Set clear sales goals and actionable plans for your team and ensure achievement through regular coaching and performance reviews.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with referral sources, including case managers, discharge planners, referral coordinators, and physicians.
- Promote Angels of Care services through community engagement, sales calls, and marketing activities.
- Ensure the agency adds and retains satisfied clients through responsive communication and relationship-building.
- Act as a liaison between clients and referral sources to ensure a seamless start of care (SOC) and continued service excellence.
- Represent the agency at job fairs, nursing school events, and community outreach opportunities.
- Monitor team and regional performance and report outcomes to leadership; performance will be evaluated based on established goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of referral source communications and activity logs using KanTime or similar CRM platforms, and the AOC APP.
- Maintain an active and professional presence on social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) by sharing company content, participating in marketing campaigns, and engaging with followers in alignment with Angels of Care’s brand standards.
Qualifications
- 2+ years business development experience in home health, medical sales, or a related field
- Proven experience leading and coaching a sales team
- Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship building abilities
- Effective problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
