Job Summary 

The Coverage Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and optimizing staff scheduling to ensure consistent, timely coverage for client care needs. This role partners closely with clinical and operational teams to align staffing resources with patient requirements, maintain continuity of care, and support a high-quality service experience. The Coverage Coordinator utilizes sound judgment, strong communication, and proactive problem-solving to address scheduling gaps, balance staff utilization, and respond to changing needs in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational efficiency and reinforcing Angels of Care’s commitment to reliable, patient-centered care delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Must be capable of making a good first impression.

  • Scheduling; effectively utilize nurses when assigning shifts 
  • Demonstrates an ability to identify and solve problems; uses initiative and good judgment to reach quality decisions. 
  • Demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly and actively listens. 
  • Maintains an excellent rapport with clients and caregivers and effectively promotes harmonious interpersonal relationships. 
  • Will exercise necessary cost control measures. 
  • Will strive to maintain positive internal and external customer service relationships. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills. 
  • Must demonstrate effective communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions when clarification is needed. 
  • Must be able to be depended upon to plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate reliability by arriving to work on time and taking breaks in expected time frames. 
  • Will be expected to meet all productivity requirements. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and must be willing to promote a team oriented environment. 
  • Is expected to represent the organization professionally at all times. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate initiative, strive to continually improve processes and relationships. 
  • Regular attendance required. 
  • Will adhere to dress code policy at all times. 

Education 
  • High School Diploma or GED. 
Experience 
  • Prior scheduling experience preferred.
  • Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office, MS Excel and Scheduling program.
  • Basic medical terminology.
  • Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out directions, to read and write.
  • Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
