Director of Branch Operations

Work Location: This is an on-site position.
Travel: Occasional local travel required.
The Director of Branch Operations is responsible for leading branch operations and ensuring the branch meets organizational, clinical, operational, and financial objectives. This role requires sound judgment, strong leadership, and a working knowledge of home health practices, procedures, documentation standards, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
The Director of Branch Operations partners closely with clinical leadership, branch staff, field employees, referral partners, and community stakeholders to support high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, employee engagement, and continued branch growth.
In this role, you will:
- Analyzes and organizes home health operations for branch managed.
- Oversees the delivery of care to all patients served by branch.
- Represents the organization as a Marketing source with physicians and local community businesses.
- Communicates as needed with the Director of Nursing concerning new developments and/or problems.
- Responsible for review of Case Managers documentation to include starts-of-care and re-certifications, for appropriateness of care delivery and documentation requirements.
- Works with Quality Improvement staff relative to data tracking for performance reviews and outcomes of care analysis to determine efficiency, efficacy of case management system as well as any other systems and processes.
- Participates in the interviewing, hiring, and training of branch and field employees.
- Delegates referral process/coordination, staffing coordination, supply inventory and distribution, and oversees the completion of these processes.
- Supervises all employees assigned to specific branch and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this branch.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Responsible for appraisal of branch employee performance, rewarding and disciplinary actions of branch employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Demonstrates emphasis on improving quality of staff, systems, and environment.
- Exercise necessary cost control measures.
- Maintain positive internal and external customer service relationships.
- Continually improve processes and relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 3+ years Home health experience preferred
- 3+ years of leadership, supervisory, or branch operations experience required
- Knowledge of home health regulations, clinical operations, documentation requirements, and quality standards preferred
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
