Employee Safety and Risk Analyst
Description
This is a hybrid position (3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week) with occasional travel.
The Employee Safety and Risk Analyst is responsible for analyzing workplace safety risks, managing the organization’s workers’ compensation cases, and driving strategies to reduce injury frequency, severity, and overall claim costs. This role oversees return-to-work (RTW) coordination, leads safety program development, and partners closely with leadership to promote a safe, compliant work environment.
In this role, you will:
- Provide guidance and assistance to Operations in establishing and maintaining safety operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and best practices.
- Analyze workers’ compensation claims to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities to reduce injuries and costs.
- Coordinate all aspects of workers’ compensation cases, including timely reporting, communication, documentation, and return-to-work processes.
- Conduct incident investigations, job hazard analyses, ergonomic assessments, and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
- Develop, revise, and implement safety programs, policies, and training to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Prepare and maintain OSHA-required records and reports, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Prepare reports and safety data dashboards to track incidents, identify trends, and support leadership decision-making.
- Collaborate with HR, leadership, and operational teams on safety initiatives and participate in safety-related committees.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in workplace safety, risk management, or workers’ compensation required
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and internal safety standards
- Proven ability to analyze claims and safety data and provide actionable recommendations
- Experience delivering effective safety training across a range of audiences
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and relationship-management abilities
- Relevant safety certifications (OSHA, ASP, CSP, ARM, or similar) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
