Administrator, Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC)
Description
The Administrator oversees all operational functions of the Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center, ensuring safe, high-quality services and compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting regulations. This role provides leadership for administrative and support staff, manages daily operations, and ensures that systems, staffing, and processes align with organizational standards and best practices. The Administrator collaborates closely with families, staff, and community partners to promote efficient operations, quality outcomes, and a positive experience for children and families.
In this role, you will:
- Provide overall administrative leadership for the PPEC center, overseeing daily operations, staffing, and service delivery to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting regulations.
- Recruit, train, and supervise qualified staff, ensuring adequate coverage, completion of all required background and registry checks, and ongoing education.
- Implement and maintain administrative policies, procedures, and training programs that align with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Monitor documentation, census records, and reports to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Ensure parents are notified promptly—verbally and in writing—of any accidents or incidents involving their child, and maintain appropriate incident records.
- Maintain current written agreements with all contracted providers and verify that contracted services meet applicable standards.
- Manage budgeting, accounting, and resource allocation consistent with good business practices and the health and safety of minors.
- Oversee public information materials and community outreach efforts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review parent-satisfaction survey results and other feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategic and short-term plans that support growth, efficiency, and ongoing compliance.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a pediatric healthcare setting
- Must also meet one of the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing or
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate’s degree in nursing, plus two additional years of supervision or management experience in a healthcare setting
