Responsibilities: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Prompt Engineer to join our dynamic team working on government contracts. As a Prompt Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining advanced prompt-based language models that meet the specific requirements outlined within the US Air Force and/or the Department of Defense. Your expertise in natural language processing (NLP),  prompt engineering, and working knowledge within DoD and the USAF will contribute to the success of cutting-edge projects that have a significant impact on national security and public welfare.

  • Prompt Development
    • Design and develop effective prompts for language models to address the unique needs of government contracts.
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable prompts.
    • Iterate on prompt design based on feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Natural Language Processing Expertise
    • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of NLP to enhance the performance and capabilities of language models in compliance with government contract specifications.
    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in NLP and incorporate relevant techniques into Prompt Engineering.
  • Data Analysis
    • Analyze data sets provided in government contracts to identify patterns, trends, and specific language nuances.
    • Implement data-driven approaches to optimize Prompt effectiveness and model performance.
  • Security and Compliance
    • Ensure that Prompt Engineering practices adhere to government security and privacy standards.
    • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain robust data protection measures.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and project managers to integrate Prompt Engineering into the overall development process.
    • Participate in regular team meetings to provide updates on Prompt Engineering progress and discuss challenges.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Prompt Engineering, NLP, and Machine Learning
  • Familiarity with government contract requirements and compliance standards
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Security clearance required; level to be determined
SALARY AND BENEFIT HIGHLIGHTS   
We consider a variety of factors when making compensation decisions. We share this to ensure transparency and set expectations for those considering opportunities with us.
The beginning salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000.
As you excel at Amplify, there is potential for salary increases and promotions. If you were to remain in this role, there is earning potential for this level of $160,000.
