What We’re Looking For:
AmeriSave is seeking a visionary and hands-on Chief Technology Officer based in India to establish, build, and lead our India technology organization. This executive leader will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and scaling high-performing engineering teams while partnering closely with technology and business leaders in the United States.
This role is ideal for a proven technology executive who has successfully built and scaled engineering teams within India for a U.S.-based organization. The successful candidate will provide strategic technology leadership while remaining deeply engaged in engineering execution, architecture, cloud infrastructure, security, AI initiatives, and organizational development.
You will serve as a key bridge between AmeriSave's U.S. technology leadership team and the India engineering organization, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and delivery of critical technology initiatives.
What You'll Do:
Build & Scale the India Technology Organization
- Establish and lead AmeriSave's India technology center.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain top engineering, infrastructure, AI, data, security, and technology leadership talent throughout India.
- Develop organizational structure, leadership pipelines, career paths, and employee development programs.
- Build a high-performance engineering culture centered on accountability, innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Global Engineering Leadership
- Partner closely with U.S.-based technology leaders, product leaders, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Lead distributed engineering teams delivering solutions across multiple time zones.
- Foster seamless collaboration between India and U.S. technology teams.
- Establish engineering best practices, delivery standards, and development processes.
Software Engineering & Platform Ownership
- Lead teams responsible for designing, building, and maintaining AmeriSave's proprietary technology platforms.
- Drive engineering excellence, architecture governance, code quality, scalability, and software delivery.
- Oversee development of customer-facing and internal business applications supporting the mortgage lifecycle.
Cloud Infrastructure & Technology Operations
- Partner with infrastructure teams supporting AmeriSave's Azure-based environment.
- Drive performance, scalability, cost optimization, monitoring, and operational reliability initiatives.
- Ensure engineering teams develop highly available and resilient applications.
AI & Innovation Strategy
- Lead AI-driven innovation initiatives across software engineering and business operations.
- Identify opportunities for automation, machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with U.S. leadership on the company's AI roadmap and execution strategy.
Security & Risk Management
- Partner with information security, compliance, and risk management teams.
- Ensure engineering practices align with security standards, financial services regulations, and data privacy requirements.
- Promote a security-first culture across all technology teams.
Executive Partnership
- Serve as a strategic technology advisor to executive leadership.
- Participate in long-term technology planning and workforce strategy.
- Communicate engineering performance, technology investments, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage India technology staffing plans and operating budgets.
- Drive efficient resource allocation across engineering initiatives.
- Develop long-term workforce strategies supporting organizational growth.
What You’ll Need:
Executive Technology Leadership
- 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
- 5+ years in an executive technology leadership role such as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Technology, or Engineering Director.
- Proven experience leading large-scale software engineering organizations.
Building Teams in India
- Demonstrated success establishing, scaling, and leading engineering organizations in India for U.S.-based companies.
- Extensive experience recruiting and developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of India's technology talent market and hiring landscape.
Distributed Team Leadership
- Experience leading globally distributed teams across India and North America.
- Track record of building strong cross-functional partnerships across geographic regions.
- Ability to effectively manage communication and execution across multiple time zones.
Technical Expertise
- Strong background in modern software engineering practices and architecture.
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of enterprise platforms, databases, APIs, and scalable application design.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
AI & Emerging Technologies
- Experience leading AI, automation, machine learning, or generative AI initiatives.
- Ability to translate emerging technologies into measurable business value.
Leadership & Communication
- Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Depth: Deep expertise in Java, TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, and React, with the ability to provide architectural leadership and make informed decisions across the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands-On Engineering Background: Built a career as a software engineer and technical leader, maintaining sufficient technical depth to challenge assumptions, evaluate solutions, and mentor senior engineering talent.
- Engineering Credibility: Respected by engineering teams for practical development experience and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.

Compensation
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, and market conditions. In addition to base compensation, eligible employees may be considered for performance-based incentives and other company-sponsored programs, where applicable.

Employment Structure
This position will be employed through Deel, AmeriSave's Employer of Record (EOR) partner in India.
While Deel will serve as the legal employer for local payroll, benefits administration, and employment compliance purposes, the successful candidate will work exclusively for AmeriSave Mortgage Corporation, operate as a member of the AmeriSave leadership team, and perform services under AmeriSave's direction and management.
