Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Systems team. This role is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Linux Systems, technical expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation.
What You'll Do
- Support enterprise VoIP and telecommunications platforms, including Asterisk-based systems
- Troubleshoot Linux-hosted applications, web services, authentication systems, certificates, DNS, load balancing, and performance-related issues.
- Administer and support enterprise Microsoft Azure cloud environments, including virtual machines, storage, and cloud infrastructure services.
- Manage and maintain hybrid infrastructure environments spanning both cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Deploy, configure, and support Windows Server environments and associated infrastructure services.
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and related Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Research, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities across infrastructure platforms.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and recovery exercises.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to deliver reliable and scalable technology solutions.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as required.
What You Bring
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or relevant experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of infrastructure engineering experience supporting enterprise hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong experience supporting Linux operating systems and Linux-hosted applications.
- Hands-on experience supporting Asterisk infrastructure (RHEL 9+).
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure technologies in an enterprise environment.
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration, Azure Virtual Desktop, and enterprise infrastructure services.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure, networking, identity, and application platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification or equivalent cloud certification.
- Experience with Ansible, Docker/Podman, and infrastructure automation.
- PowerShell scripting experience.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or related DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as Datadog and Netwrix Auditor.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and OSI network layers.
High-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).

Compensation:
The annual compensation for this position generally ranges between $105,000 - $140,000.
