JOB OVERVIEW        
   
The Director, Campus Operations (DCO) will be an influential voice and leader in a growing global education organizationThe DCO will have accountability for operations at an Amerigo partner school campus location (or locations), including all academic, operational, financial, and cultural components of the programThis role is ultimately responsible for the physical and mental well-being of its students; leadership and development of staff; fiscal responsibility for its programs and initiatives; and the development of the relationship with our partner school(s).          
      
Leveraging existing elements of the Amerigo program, this leader will be expected to implement a residential life program that values academic achievement, prioritizes each student’s overall well-being, and provides a high level of customer service to our students, families, staff members, and partner school community.       
   
In addition to local operational responsibilities, this position will partner with the Central Services team and peers within the organization to develop and refine replicable best practices that can be shared throughout a growing family of partner schools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES     
     
The DCO will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all operational elements of the program with our local school partner(s).        
    
On a day-to-day basis, the DCO will be responsible for:       
    
  • Implementing core elements of the Amerigo program, while creating unique campus-based activities for students        
  • Building and developing a community-oriented culture that drives the recruitment and retention of students and staff        
  • Managing, recruiting, developing, assessing and training the campus team        
  • Maintaining fiscal responsibility for the boarding budget         
  • Overseeing all residential facility needs and resources        
  • Maintaining appropriate communication channels with students, parents, agents, and our school partner(s)        
  • Collaborating with a school liaison to monitor student performance and progress related to any relevant academic, disciplinary, and emotional issues        
  • Coordinating a calendar of evening and weekend activities         
  • Supervising the logistics and scheduling related to academic study, co-curricular activities, transportation, meals, and travel        
  • Communicating ideas, issues, and opportunities to the Central Services and partner school teams        
  • Organizing and leading weekly dorm parent meetings      
  • Developing and implementing a disciplinary program      
    
   
KEY QUALIFICATIONS     
      
The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, energetic leader with a love of working with people, particularly adolescents. This person will be organized and have excellent written and oral communication skills. This person must be resilient and reliable while demonstrating an ability to build a strong community culture within a global environment.        
    
In addition, they will possess:        
       
  • Bachelor’s Degree from Accredited 4-Year University in related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.        
  • 5+ years prior management experience in a residential education setting at the K12 or Higher Education level and/or in a high-level leadership and administrative role at a similar institution.        
  • Working knowledge of one other language or experience in learning a foreign language. Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Spanish, or Portuguese language abilities preferred.

Offering a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, assessed according to experience relative to the job description, industry expertise, and relevant qualifications
